Australia's finest Jewish punk band Yidcore – actually, they're probably Australia's only Jewish punk band – have been rocking all over the world and making sure all shuls lock up their daughters.
But far from being bad boys, they're actually quite nice. Lead singer Bram not only is a lawyer, but is a big macher at his local synagogue – despite the pink hair and multiple piercings, to say nothing of his six-inch high boots.
This prolific band have released countless albums and seem to tour almost non-stop. Their brand of music sees them giving some kosher classics a punk makeover, as well as doing their own unique versions of cheesy ballads, including Bette Midler's Wind Beneath My Wings and Kylie and Jason's Especially For You.
And what's more, they've got two new albums out now. Eighth Day Slice offers more Jewish-themed punk mayhem, while Fiddlin' On Ya Roof pays homage to everyone's favourite milkman, Tevye.
Not one to stick two fingers up to fellow Jews, they've even done a track called Why Won't Adam Sandler Let Us Do His Song – their response to trying to get permission from the big screen comic to
cover his Chanukah Song (and failing).
If you want to catch them live in the next few months, you'd better head off Down Under, or pop off to the Middle East, where they'll be headlining gigs in Israel.
