Chassidic tours
Looking for something a bit different from a tour of New York? Sure you can do tours of Manhattan, but how about going into Brooklyn and taking part in a tour of Jewish Crown Heights?

Yes, that's right. For over a decade, Jewish Chassidic Walking Tours has organised a three hour Sunday tour of the orthodox community in and around the Crown Heights area.

From 10am to 1pm, tourists will be guided around the area by Rabbi Beryl Epstein and discover for themselves the vibrant community that makes up the area.

The tours take visitors around a wide area.  From seeing the Lubavitch headquarters through to seeing a scribe writing a torah, it's a fast paced three hours.

Depending on the time of year also determines what visitors can see. In the run up to Passover, it will be a chance to ses Matzah being made.

The cost of the tour is $36 which also includes a kosher deli lunch.  Children under 12  pay half price.
