Klezmer fans are in for a treat this weekend with three klezmer acts performing at the Klez In The City event in East London.
Among those taking part are offbeat Canadian musician Geoff Berner, who writes his own klezmer tunes and plays accordion, London-based trio Kosmos, who add a contemporary twist to traditional klezmer and German dance band Tants In Gartn Eydn, whose own brand of klezmer has been compared to Irish folk music
The line-up promises to offer an eclectic evening's entertainment, with each of the acts approaching the musical genre in a very different way.
The concert, organised by the Jewish Music Institute will take place at The Spitz, 109 Commercial Street, London E1 6BG and tickets cost £12 (£8 concessions). For more information ring the box office on 020 7392 9032 or visit www.wegottickets.com
