Chicken and latkes

North West London's Kosher Deli has been well established as the home of reasonably priced fresh meats, cold cuts and other prepared food.

Despite its name, Kosher Deli, it's not really a deli by New York standards, it does offer various staples such as packaged sliced meats, coleslaw and a range of salads. Don't expect pickles, sauerkraut and other similar goodies as this deli does not have them.

But despite a few minor issues over the name and what you get, Kosher Deli does deliver some high quality food.

Over recent years, one of its most famous additions to its range of products on offer is fresh rotisserie chicken.

Whether you choose to visit its original location in Golders Green or its other branch in nearby Template Fortune, the chicken is always freshly prepared in a special cooking oven where the chicken is constantly turned around.

You can buy a whole chicken or parts of a chicken for 7.70 a kilo.  An average sized breast of chicken with wing costs around 2.80.

Cooking is simple, just pop the pieces into an oven and let it reheat.  Two chicken breasts will take around 15-20 minutes, while a whole cut up chicken will take less than 30 minutes.

If you want to impress your guests you a tasty fully cooked chicken that is a doddle to cook and is no mess, then make a visit to the Kosher Deli.
