Just over a year ago, What I Like About Jew was a partnership of two Jewish comics Rob Tannenbaum and Sean Altman that looked set to go far.
But like other great Jewish double acts such as Jacob and Esau, Moses and Aaron and even Simon and Garfunkel there gets a point when the partnership fizzles out and What I Like About Jew is sadly no more. But, Tannenbaum, is back with a new project and a new partner.
So farewell What I Like About Jew and welcome Good For The Jews, Tannenbaum’s new project.
Working with David Fagin, who with his own band The Rosenbergs and has toured as support act to the likes of The Strokes and Duran Duran, Good For The Jews have two gigs lined up for Chanukah on December 14 and December 15 at New York’s Knitting Factory.
And what makes the concerts great, is not just Tannenbaum and Fagin, but some very tasty artists who will be on stage with them on the nights.
Among those getting on stage with these two live Jews will be Lisa Loeb, Tammy Faye Starlite and Rachel Feinstein.
And by all accounts, it looks set to be a joyous night of music and fun, especially if Tannenbaum and Fagin perform the classic Good To Be A Jew At Christmas.
