Ofra Haza is alive, at least on eBay. A rare single including four different versions of "Galbi," the hit that brought the Israeli singer world fame, was sold to the highest bidder at $405. The highest bidder, by the way, was a Japanese man who was not ready to give up.
The single, which is indeed rare in its CD version but is pretty available in the album version, was released only in France in 1988, and included a rare cover picture of the late singer. The single's initial was merely USD 15, but reached the final price following 19 offers.
None of the bidders, by the way, was Israeli. The second highest offer (USD 400) was made by a Turkish man, the third one by an American guy, the fourth one by a German, and the last offer was also from the Unites States.
