With hints of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Linkin Park, Israeli band Amstaff are turning heads and showing that Israeli musicians can deliver great sounds and not just conform to the norm.
This four piece with additional DJ offer a unique Israli nu-metal sound - thumbing drums, loud guitars with DJ scratching and mixing.
Based in Tel Aviv, the band consists of Ido Lederman on vocals, Ofer Levy on drums, Jino on bass, Dosh on guitar and DJ Roy on decks.
Lederman is the founder of the band and was determined that the sound, while influenced by US artists should also have its own unique isralei identity.
And that identity means the songs are in hebrew which works really well with the music.
A non-stop gigging regime has started to reap rewards for the band who have build up a loyal fan following.
A debut album is set for release later this year while their website and MySpace site offer tracks and videos to download.
