Chili delight by: Leslie Bunder

Chili Chutney

It may say "for spicy hot buffalo wings", but don't think that Olivia's fabulous Chili Chutney cooking sauce is only suitable for chicken dishes as it seems to work with just about everything.

This Israeli-produced delight has the right amount of chili with an element of sweetness to really send your taste buds into heaven. Despite the inclusion of chili, this is not a hot sauce, rather one that adds flavour and enhances any sort of meal.

Yes, it does work wonderfully with chicken wings, but that's limiting to what Chili Chutney can do for your meals.

We recently used the sauce on lamb chops.  It's simple and easy to prepare and get great results during mealtime.  Take four lamb chops, put some chili chutney on one side and grill until nicely cooked, then turnover the chop and add some more chili chutney to the other side and grill again until cooked on that side.  You don't need a lot to go onto the chops, two spoonfuls will cover the four lamp chops.

Expect to pay around 2 for a jar.  A small price to pay for a real kosher delight.
