Klezmer fans in north London won't have to travel far to get a dose of Klezmer music in their area as The Jewish Music Institute and Edgware and District have joined forces on 26 February for a night of Klez delight.
The special concert features Klez band She’Koyokh with special guest clarinettist Merlin Shepherd.
"Jewish people in North London have not had the opportunity to bond with their traditional culture," said Laoise Davidson of the Jewish Music Institute. "It is time that Klezmer was welcomed into the Jewish community and this concert signifies the growing interest among Jews of all backgrounds. I believe that Klezmer is a unifying music which appeals to both secular and religious Jews and gives them a sense of their real Jewish identity".
Tickets costs £8 with £6 concessions and the concert is from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
