One of the best unknown talents that needs to be spotted is Sista Warrior. For the last few years, Sista Warrior has been making British Jewish reggae with a passion.
We've written about her before, but now is the time to give some more respect to her, especially as he has not only an album under her belt but is also due to start shooting her first video and is looking for people to be in it.
Late last year saw the release of her self-financed debut albm, Valiant Woman which showed what a talent she is. Thirteen tracks of reggae pleasure with a Jewish flavour saw her writing, performing and singing.
Growing up in Harlesden, north west London, a place reknowned for its reggae performersw and record shops selling reggae sounds, Sista Warrior aka Helena Lieber is self-taught and determined to make a difference.
Over the last 20 years, Sista Warrior has reconnected with her Jewish roots and became Baal Teshuva.
Her father survived Mauthausen concentration camp and Sista Warrior has worked on projects involving the Holocaust, she has co-edited a poetry anthology for the Association of Children of Jewish Refugees.
And now Sista Warrior is looking for extras to take part in a video for her song, The Seven Laws of Noah.
The filming is taking place very shortly in Sista Warrior's home turf of Stoke Newington, north London and she is looking for all Jews of all backgrounds to be in it.
