What are you doing between February 17 and February 20? Well, if you are anywhere near to California and in particular Long Beach California, note the date and take part in Jewlicious @ the Beach.
Organised by the folks behind pop meets urban Jewish blog Jewlicious and Beach Hillel and SoCal Jewish Student Services, , the event is a great opportunity to absorb Jewish culture and meet and mingle with tons of other students and 20-something Jews from the States as well as around the world.
At just $36 per person, it is also probably the best Jewish value for money you've had since paying for barmitzvah lessons. Sure the acommendatin needs you to also bring a sleeping bag and pillow, but it's a comfy floor and place for those coming - The Alpert Jewish Community Center, Long Beach - near to Long Beach Airport.
Doors open from midday on February 17th and food starts from 1pm.
This is one event that has been really well thought out especially from food supplies.
So apart from the food, what else is there? On February 19 from 7.30pm, there's a concert - Jewbilatrion which features DJ Socalled, Rav Shmuel and the Makkabees.
Plus great invited speakers including Dov Charney founder of American Apparel and reggae star Matisyahu.
Go on, book yourself, you know it makes sense.
