Tuna bites

If you're fed up with fish fingers, and fishballs don't quite tickle your taste buds, then tuna bites could be just what you're looking for.

Like fishballs, they're fried, and can be eaten hot or cold. In the case of Great Food Company, they're made with a minimum of 60 per cent tuna, giving a very flavoursome taste.

For around 2.50 a pack, you get between 15-18 bites, making it great value for those who are looking for a snack or even a light meal. Team up the bites with some salad, maybe some chips or even a baked potato and you've got a filling meal. A portion of six per person will go a long way, making them very economical to buy. While Great Food suggests you can microwave them and serve them hot, we prefer them cold.

Of course, you could just make them yourself, with some tinned tuna, some matzo meal and oil to fry it in, but Great Food has provided a taste of home with its own tuna bites, and once you taste them you could even be tempted to pass them off as your own to guests. So why bother making them yourself?

Perfect for all occasions, whether you're entertaining or just looking for a quick snack, Great Food are on to a real winner here.
